Our Founder produced an Election Day Music Video reminding constituents about the importance of voting and holding public officials accountable entitled, "On Me" in Newark City Hall and at the Rodino Federal Building with People's Organization for Progress.
The video opens with Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announcing New Jersey's proposed $100M FAM Fund, a Black/Brown VC named after Reparations promised to Black Americans. Our team has been at the forefront of demanding this financing since 2019 and crafting legislation and policy around state-backed VC.
Our founder exercised his lyrical prowess and spoke on the need for a Black multi-asset class investment platform similar to Blackstone, whose founder was first seeded $100M from Newark-based asset manager Prudential.
